Anna Todaro opening at One Strange Bird

Our very first art opening at One Strange Bird!  Anna Todaro's "Pop Intuit", opened on Jan. the 6th and was a huge success!

You can still come by to see Anna's mural and original paintings.  They are affordable and fun!  She also has stocked us up with her digital prints, for those of us less endowed in the wallet.  she also has a unique and quirky line of jewelry and headbands.  Come by before the show comes down.

Winter Pics!

 Lots of changes in the New Year at One Strange Bird!  We had a very successful holiday season and have used the extra holiday cheer to bulk up around here!  We painted the front wall purple, the outside a bright teal, and launched our Fine Arts program with Anna Todaro being our first show!  Check out some pics of the store below and check back for news coming soon.

Workshops!

We launched our workshop program this week at One Strange Bird and it has been a blast!  Thursday night was our very fist printmaking class and we made handmade rubber stamps by making mini lino cuts.

Come next Thursday for Lino cut cards!  There is still time to register and you can now do it on-line at onestrangebird.com.

The Morning After

Hello beautiful people!

Thank you everyone who joined us yesterday for the Grand Opening Party.  We had so much fun and we hope that you did too.

We woke up today with no headaches or dehydration issues, but with memories of the great time we had last night. We made lots of new friends who we hope to see much more of.

Special thanks go out to Guerrilla Dinners for delicious catering, we couldn’t get enough of these tasty treats:

Also thanks to RTST, who “Pumped the Jams” all evening long so we could keep on dancing. He played amidst the colorful backdrop of paintings by the LadyBird herself, Nicole Northway. 

 

Madeline and Allie, the jewelry making duo, crafted throughout the evening, making sure everyone  could go home with their own pair of earrings made by themselves. Also, our friends were able to walk away with some strange prints with the screen printing demo. Congratulations to everyone who won a prize from our fantastic raffle, and thanks to all the artists who contributed items! 

And, most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out last night! We love you all! One Strange Bird has never been filled with such fantastic human beings, we couldn't help but smile all night.
